Kennet Avenue
The
"Avenue" is two parallel stone rows that stretch for approx. 2.5km,
all the way up to the main circle in Avebury.
At the bottom of some of the stones, burials have been found. The arrangement of these stones in relation to one another is
significant in the fact that the imagery of many of the stone shapes is more
than likely male / female.
Directions
The Avenue is well signposted from the village of Avebury itself.
